| I first created Scott Winer Productions (SWP) in 2000 as a one-person producing group for all of my live and taped video productions. What started with single-camera short films and documentaries expanded to include larger multi-camera events, including high school sports and live concerts.
Within five years, SWP gathered a team of talented college students to produce the first of two entertainment pilots, expanding the production team from one to nearly a dozen. Our award-winning show On'CUSE drew on several genres to produce a variety show in the truest sense of the word. A few years later, we further explored sketch comedy with Mildly Off the Wall. In both cases, using new media for content delivery became a huge part of SWP, and since then, we have continued to pursue a variety of convergent media solutions. We have also placed greater emphasis on emerging technologies with our work in web development, online and social media. At the same time, we are rededicating our efforts in more traditional areas such as writing services, branding and design. While we have broadened our selection of external services, our committment to develop original content internally is as strong as ever. Our comic strip "Little Scottie" now appears bi-weekly in The University of Kansas student newspaper, The University Daily Kansan. Meanwhile, we are solidifying our lineup of podcasts through SWP Radio that includes two shows with more than thirty episodes each. With the progress of our ongoing projects coupled with last year's addition of Todd Pickrell as Creative Director, SWP is thriving creatively like never before. I am excited for where our efforts to explore new areas of media production will take us. Scott A. Winer Founder, Executive Producer |
